And submit it to your KRM. If the KRM approves, they will submit it to the SRM.
Rawlings Synthetic Wasters
A request was made to experiment with Rawlings Synthetic wasters, as a cheaper form of weapon for Cut & Thrust practice. This request was declined. Creating another class of weapon that cannot be used in combat against our existing weapons is not a choice I will make. Those with a strong interest in drilling in historical techniques, are advised to consult the Rules for Study and Education of Historical Combat Techniques Within the SCA and consider if it covers your requirements.

Reduced Armour Experiment
The kingdoms of An Tir and Atenveldt have received approval to start a reduced armour experiment. In this experiment puncture resistant material will be replaced by abrasion resistant material over the body. It's going to be a year long experiment in 3 phases. For more details, read the proposal found here.
2012 Q2 Update: Experiment going well. A few of the initial participants have swapped out for people without injuries or more ability to get to practice.
Spear Experiment
Caid is experimenting with spears in combat.
2012 Q2 Update: 10 people are using spears in combat at 4 events this quarter, up to 50 people on the field at a time. Everyone involved is having fun.
